- · Oversees DOT compliance and reporting as it relates to fleet
- · Manages the operation and maintenance of the organization’s motor vehicles
- · Key member of the Warehouse Management Team
- · Meets WHSE and Fleet operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- · Accomplishes warehouse and fleet operation and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- · Provide material, equipment, and supplies to the organization by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services; supervising staff
- · Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
- · Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
- · Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
- · Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system
- · Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
- · Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
- · Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- · Performs a variety of tasks
- · A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Minimum 7-10 years working with purchasing/accounting and/or fleet management logistics
- Proficiency with related tracking and routing software
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and management
- Ability to coach, provide feedback, and manage performance of team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Two or more years of Accounting experience preferred
- Forklift Driver Certification
- Sitting and standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Moderate to high noise level in the work environment
- Typing, bending, stooping, reaching, driving, carrying, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling
