St Croix Company Seeks Senior Financial AccountantWe are a growing company seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to become an important addition to our Financial Accounting team.The Senior Financial Accountant will have primary responsibility for the accounting, analysis and reporting of various consolidated structures and provide assistance in the support of various other funds, new initiatives and ad hoc requests.

Assisting in the accounting and reporting for GCIM’s various investment funds and vehicles, ensuring processes are consistent with specific partnership agreements
Maintain the general ledger working with the operations group for automated entries as well as posting manual entries
Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and provide initiatives to streamline accounting processes
Assisting in providing timely, accurate and meaningful fund and general business reporting and analysis.
Supporting the preparation of the financial statements, providing information and support for the Firm’s independent auditors and assisting in the analysis and implementation of new accounting pronouncements, as needed
Assisting in various other ad hoc projects and requests

Skills RequiredQualifications and SkillsBachelor’s degree or equivalent education required

Meaningful relevant experience in similar business is strongly desired, public accounting background in financial services is helpful, high level of motivation; be a self-starter and results oriented; comfortable working in a fluid environment
Comfortable with a steep learning curve and seeking assistance from a strong and committed peer group
Excellent analytical skills and strong accounting skills and instincts
Must be meticulous, detail-focused and consistently accurate
Capacity and passion for being part of a fast-growing, small-office environment – requiring outstanding interpersonal skills, strong intellect and appropriate self confidence
Ability to learn and excel at day-to-day responsibilities and contribute to driving process improvement, standardization and automation
