Position Summary: The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of safe, effective, quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and evidence based practice; also provides leadership and supervision of unit and employees. Works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team. Reports to the Charge / Head Nurse and or Clinical Care Coordinator. Is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and the nursing Department.Must have successfully completed an approved Nursing Program and passed the RN NCLEX exam. Holds a current VI RN license.Skills RequiredHazards & Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day, walk up to 4 hours a day, and sit for up to 4 hours a day. Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs and lift/carry up to 20 lbs on an occasional basis. Is aware of risk of exposure to communicable diseases; blood and/or body fluids.Specific Requirements: Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer BLS certification. ACLS, NRP & PALS certification as applicable. Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with computers.Company Information
