Title of Position: IT SpecialistJob Relationships I. Reports to: Office ManagerJob Description: The employee in this classification is responsible for all aspects of help desk, hardware, software, networking, data communications, Telecommunications, and IT issues for this office, as well as satellite locations. The employee works closely with the Office Manager to meet the needs of the office.Job Duties may include but are not limited to:Networking: * Manage administration and maintenance; and make additions, deletions and major modifications to the IT infrastructure.
  • Work with contracted vendor(s) to assist with the IT management and functions of this or satellite locations.
  • Maintain network security at all levels.
Telephony: * Manage the company’s telephone system, to include programming and any required changes.Internal Systems: * Oversee troubleshooting, archiving and disaster recovery and provide support when necessary.
  • Perform daily server backups; remove the tape and external hard drive on a daily basis from the premises.
  • Install and upgrades hardware and software on server and desktop systems.
  • Use technical and analytical expertise and knowledge of systems to resolve problems internally and through outside vendors and manufacturers.
  • Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
Hardware and Software: * Stay current with hardware and software developments to enhance the organizations systems.
  • Build and maintains vendor relationships and makes recommendations regarding the purchase of hardware and software products.
Help Desk Administration: * Provide desktop hardware/software support including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Provide on-site technical support and maintenance to resolve data and voice systems problems.
Training and Maintenance: * Oversee, monitor, and improve Informational Technology operational procedures and tasks at office.
  • Perform maintenance of all computer stations and software and provide additional support if necessary.
  • Provide ongoing software support and training to new and existing users.
  • Coordinate the service and maintenance of copy machines, printers, FAX machines and telephone system.
  • Order supplies for the copy machine, printers and FAX machines.
  • Manage the keyless door entry system.
