Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a motivated, highly skilled individual who share our mission: to drive improvement in the health of those we serve, while exemplifying compassion and respect”, to oversee the Financial Affairs of the hospital. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a member of the Executive Leadership team and plans, organizes, and directs the fiscal services department, including the development, interpretation, coordination, and administration of the hospital’s policies on finance, accounting, insurance, financial/accounting systems, internal control, and auditing. The CFO works closely with the Chief Executive Officer to ensure the financial services are in compliance with the established objectives and accounting standards and the allocation of funds to keep the institution in operation through private and philanthropic entities. The Chief Financial Officer will assume the responsibility of leadership, direction, and administration of all aspects of hospital operations and activities, in the absence of the Chief Executive Officer or at the direction of the Chief Executive Officer. General Duties & Responsibilities: § Performs the cost-analysis necessary and presents recommendations with respect to cost, charges, fees, rates, etc. to generate income to support hospital activities§ Liaisons and networks with financial entities for on-going acquirement of funds; Manage hospital’s financial resources; through subordinates, supervises, and coordinates the functions of reimbursements, budgets, patient accounting, and general accounting, which include general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and cashiering; shall report to the Chief Executive Officer, and with the CEO, report to the Board of Directors; § Participates in the development of the department’s objectives, organization structure and staffing plan; Organizes work department, allocates and schedules work to be performed, and recommends positions and staffing required§ Ensures compliance with the provisions of all regulatory agencies, to include entities locally and nationally. § Directs with the assistance of the individual department supervisors, the development and preparation of short-term and long-term goals and budgets based on each Departments individual need and upon the broad goals and objectives of the institution; Participates in hospital/board/medical staff committee meetings; § Coordinates all departmental projects with input from departmental heads and subject to the approval of the Chief Executive Officer; § Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by the Chief Executive Officer.Skills RequiredQualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Accounting, or Finance; Certified Public Accountant with Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and five or more years of experience in all aspects of Hospital accounting/financing/administration in an acute or heath care facility; or Bachelor’s Degree with ten (10) years experience in all aspects of hospital accounting and financing in an acute or health care facility. Five (5) of ten (10) years must be within the past ten-(10) years.Salary: Commensurate with Experience.Company Information
